What is Juvéderm™?

Juvéderm™ is a smooth consistency gel dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid- a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. The gel is injected gently under the skin to instantly restore your skins volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or nasolabial folds (the crease that runs from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Juvéderm™ injectable gels are indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis (below the outer layer of the skin) for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm™ inject able get is the first hyaluronic acid derma filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color.

The injection process takes about 15 minutes, but you will also need to allow time to consult with your doctor prior to treatment. Correction is temporary; therefore, touch-up injections as well as repeat injections are usually needed to maintain optimal corrections. Results last up to 6 months or longer.
